For advertisers
- What does advertising space in Riga cost?
- There is no single rate, because every space is priced by the person who owns it. On this marketplace a listing shows either a flat price — usually per day, per week or per month — or 'request pricing', which means the host quotes against your dates and campaign. Small indoor placements such as a poster frame or a counter spot generally sit at the low end; a large gable wall on a main street in Centrs is the most expensive thing in the country. Compare the listings themselves rather than working from an average.
- How do I book a space?
- Add the spaces you want to a campaign, then send one request. It reaches each host separately with your dates, budget and brief, and each replies to you directly. You are not committed to anything by sending a request — it starts a conversation, it is not a purchase.
- Can I book several spaces at once?
- Yes, and that is the point of the campaign step. The spaces can belong to different owners in different districts; you fill in one form and each host receives their own copy of it.
- Who produces the printing or the artwork?
- You do, unless a host offers otherwise in their listing. The marketplace does not produce, print, install or approve creative. Ask the host for exact dimensions and their preferred file format before you commission anything — a frame described as A1 may still have a different visible area behind the glass.
- Is advertising in Riga regulated?
- Yes. Outdoor advertising in the city is subject to the Advertising Law and to Riga City Council rules, and some placements need a permit from the municipality — particularly anything fixed to a facade, and anything in the Old Town, where heritage protection applies. Permits are the host's responsibility for their space; ask them what is in place before you plan around a placement.
For space owners
- What do I need to list a space?
- A few honest photographs, the district, what kind of placement it is, and either a price or a note that you will quote. Nothing else is required, and a listing is free. You can save a draft and finish it later.
- What kinds of space can be listed?
- Anything with an audience in front of it that you control: a digital screen, a billboard or facade banner, poster frames indoors, a shop window, counter, shelf or floor space, or an event and pop-up area. If you are unsure whether yours fits, list it and moderation will tell you.
- Do I have to accept every request?
- No. Requests arrive in your dashboard and you decide which to answer. You can decline anything that does not suit the place, and you agree the final terms with the advertiser yourself.
- How much can I charge?
- Whatever you think the space is worth — you set the price and keep all of it. It helps to look at comparable listings in your district and format before deciding, and to be specific about size, position and the hours the audience is actually there.
About the marketplace
- Was this site called AdsRiga before?
- Yes. Advertise.lv was AdsRiga, at adsriga.online, until September 2026. It was a change of name only — the same company, the same marketplace and the same listings. The old address now leads here, so old links and bookmarks still work.
- Does Advertise.lv take a commission?
- No. Listing is free, requests are free, and the marketplace takes no share of what a host charges. The service is free during its launch phase; any change will be announced before it takes effect.
- How are listings ordered?
- By recency, with the filters the visitor chooses. Position cannot be bought and there is no promoted placement.
- Who is responsible if something goes wrong?
- The advertiser and the host contract with each other directly; the marketplace is an intermediary that publishes listings and passes on requests. If a listing is inaccurate, tell us at [email protected] and we will act on it — we remove listings for space the poster does not control.
